Mariel de Leon thinks Catriona Gray can win Miss Universe – ABS

MANILA – Binibining Pilipinas International 2017 Mariel de Leon believes that Catriona Gray can move home a country’s fourth Miss Universe crown.
In an interview with a party website Pep, De Leon was all praises for Gray, observant she has “the X factor.”
“Yes, definitely,” she replied when asked if she thinks Gray can win Miss Universe. “I theory she has what we call a X cause when she goes there.”
“She’s unequivocally good during presenting herself, and we consider that’s what Miss Universe is about,” she added.
De Leon drew slam final month for revelation Gray that she found her remarks “just a little bit scripted.”
Gray and other beauty queens have given stepped in to residence a issue, though De Leon still felt a need to apologize to a fans of a Miss Universe Philippines 2018 titleholder.
“I didn’t meant to provoke anyone naman, and I’m contemptible if we did,” she told Pep. “We come from a good place and we all admire Catriona for her strength and how distant she’s come in life. So we consider that’s what we have to do, only lift Catriona up, generally now she’s Miss Universe Philippines.”
De Leon went on to admire Gray’s determination, observant she witnessed how a Miss World 2016 finalist worked tough to where she is now.
“Since Miss World kasi – we lerned underneath Aces and Queens together – we can unequivocally tell how tough she worked for what she wants. And we consider that’s something to admire in her. She knows what she wants and she’s not fearful to get it,” De Leon said.
The Philippines now has 3 Miss Universe winners: Pia Wurtzbach (2015), Margie Moran (1973), and Gloria Diaz (1969).
